WHAT IS DOG & WELFARE

ACTIVITY AND SPACE

Dog & Welfare is a dog daycare created in 2019, located in Montseny, between Franqueses del Vallès and Cardedeu, on a 10,000 m2 estate, fully enclosed to ensure your dog’s playtime and your peace of mind.

The space has a very cozy wooden cabin with light and water, a resting area, and several zones with pine and oak trees that provide the necessary shade to protect the dogs from the heat. There is also a pool to help them cool off.

In this setting, dogs enjoy the company of other members of their species and fulfill their physical, psychological, and emotional needs, ensuring their well-being.

It is a protected environment, always monitored by our team of professionals, who will make sure that the daycare users feel comfortable and at ease throughout the day.

This project was born from an understanding of the busy lifestyle in our contemporary society and the need to provide quality of life to dogs and their families. In cities, we often lack the time and spaces to properly walk our dogs, which can lead to behavioral problems or issues with adapting to daily life.
For this reason, we offer a space in the heart of nature, with the calm that the city
cannot provide to animals. We offer physical activity, cognitive stimulation, behavior guidelines, relaxation, and the freedom necessary for dogs to learn and mature in a group setting.

About us

MARCEL VIVES

Graduate in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and trained in Canine Education and Psychology at IDEA. He founded Dog & Welfare in 2019 after working on various projects dedicated to the social and educational integration of groups with special needs. Marcel is an entrepreneur, empathetic, and a mediator. His knowledge of the "dog universe" and his passion for dogs comes from long before.

DANIELA PEÑARANDA

Graduate in Clinical and Veterinary Ethology, founder of Veterinario Online and the Can Capi dog boarding service in the center of Barcelona. Dani is affectionate, kind, experienced in the canine world, and eager to continue learning about everyday life with dogs.

NATÀLIA SAINTGERMAIN

Trained as an ATV with extensive experience in emergency care and surgery in several veterinary centers in Barcelona. Natàlia is fun, cheerful, persistent, and works with great care and enthusiasm.

IVANA SKOLIBER

Trained and certified in Ethology, Canine Education, and Behavior Modification with Atúk in Barcelona. Ivana is energetic, observant, insightful, determined, organized, attentive, and very empathetic.

MARIA TUR

Has a long career in veterinary medicine – trained as an ATV, Laboratory Technician, and Diagnostic Imaging in several veterinary centers, dog kennels, and local animal shelters. Maria is an tireless worker, imaginative, driven, skilled, inventive, and experienced.

How it works

We pick up your dog in the morning, at the agreed time, in a vehicle properly equipped for transportation. We spend the day in the heart of nature and return your dog to the same location in the afternoon.

You can choose the option that suits you best: one, two, or three days a week.

What you need to do to enroll your dog

Fill in the form and we’ll get in touch to meet your dog and walk you through every step.

Form

To ensure good service and that the daycare operates smoothly, we ask that you fill out a questionnaire to get to know your dog. Afterward, we request that you attend a meeting to get to know each other personally and address any questions you may have.

If you decide to enroll your dog, we will schedule a trial day at the daycare to ensure your dog integrates well with the group and becomes part of the Dog & Welfare community. After the first month, we will assess your dog’s adaptation.
